Hagie STS 10 Combo & STS 12 Combo
|
Owner / Operator Dimmig Farms Princeton, IL |
The three words that describe my Hagies best are dependability, serviceability, and versatility. I currently own my 5th and 6th Hagie’s. One reason I choose Hagie is the wide range of applications and tasks they can perform (spraying, late season nitrogen application, detasseling, male row destroying, fungicide and insecticide applications). I’ll cover more than 20,000 acres a year and because of the high clearance and variety of attachments, I can put an additional 250 to 300 hours year per machine annually because I can use it throughout the full season. I’m saving money applying nitrogen later at lower rates. The nitrogen doesn’t get washed away before the crop uses it. I’ve been able to increase my yields with late season fungicide and insecticide application you just can’t do with any other sprayer. Any problems or concerns have always been addressed. The product knowledge of the service technicians has been outstanding. |

Hagie STS 10

Owner / Operator B & B Ag Products Flanagan, IL |
My Hagie STS10 is not the first self-propelled sprayer I've owned, but it is the first Hagie I've owned and it's the best choice of high clearance machines. I've used it for applying late season fungicides with great results. The STS10 allows me to cover 21,000 acres a year because of it's flexibility for full season use, excellent ride and ample power. What few issues I had were taken care of immediately, the Hagie customer support is excellent. |

Hagie STS 12

I’ve had Hagie sprayers for years, starting with a model 647. I started using Hagie sprayers because of their flexibility to spray from spring to fall, which makes me more money than any other sprayer on the market. The STS12 offers me the latest in modern technology. The 60’/80’/90’ boom allows it to be used in any situation and match every costumer needs. Service has never been an issue with parts and service available locally from Agro Sales North. |

Hagie STS 12 with NTB 16

I farm 3600 acres in west central Indiana. I chose Hagie because of the front mounted boom. Had tractor mounted sprayer in past, having a self propelled sprayer has shown its value over and over again. We’ve used truck mounted sprayer in the past, but had trouble with wind currents causing weed streaks and strips in the fields. With the UpFront boom Hagie has, you eliminate the wind currents that are caused by the machine completely.
The first self-propelled sprayer I got was a Hagie 284. Since then I’ve had a 2100, STS10 and Now STS12 w/ NTB 16 and 120’ boom. This year I ordered a NTB with my STS. I needed the assurance of having an applicator when I wanted it. I also gained the ability to put more nitrogen on, once the corn is waist high or more. We plan on putting more nitrogen on this year once the corn is between waist and shoulder high. The research I’ve read has shown good results with late applications.
We also plan on taking advantage of the Hagie’s high-clearance applying fungicides again this year. We saw a very good result from our field test last years and have increased our acres for this year because of that. We plan on spraying half of our corn and most of our soybeans with fungicides this year.
