UpFront Boom

Why settle for seeing anything less than 100% of your boom? Old-timers who still measure work in aches and fatigue will be disappointed. But ask those who have switched from a "back-boomer" to a Hagie UpFront boom and you'll understand. A tip-to-tip view of the boom, with an industry-leading 67.2 sq. ft. of vision area lets you make sure you're nozzles aren't plugged - without the tiresome turning and twisting of a "back-boomer" machine. You get better visibility and control around fencerows. And, no stirring up dirt and debris in front of your spray nozzles. You get a "cleaner" application with fewer clogged nozzles.
  • Hagie's exclusive UpFront boom reduces fatigue and "field striping" by providing a full tip-to-tip view of the boom.
  • While "back-boomer" sprayers can sweep up dust and debris ahead of the sprayer boom, reducing the effectiveness of many chemicals, Hagie UpFront booms pass over the field before the machine, improving application effectiveness.
  • The STS's tri-boom design gives the operator 60, 80, and 90 foot width versatility with the same boom. This is important when you are spraying multiple fields that have different planter configurations. NEWLY available to you are the 60 and 100 foot booms that used to be a custom option, and the 120 foot UpFront boom that will reduce field time by 25% compared to a 90 foot boom.
  • Since not all fields are flat, the UpFront boom can be adjusted up or down 30 degrees so you can easily match the contour of hilly or terraced landscapes. The boom are also compatible with the NORAC system which automatically levels it for you.
  • Hydraulic breakaway sections protect the boom against "sneaky" poles and fences and hinge to 90-degrees allowing obstructions to pass without bending the boom.
  • On the outside, the STS's triangular boom structure is the strongest in the industry. Inside the triangular frame, plumbing, hoses and sprayer nozzles are completely protected.
  • With a top-to-bottom range of 20-inches to 105-inches, the UpFront boom gives the STS the flexibility to be used from pre-planting work through post-harvest application.
  • A hydraulic boom-folding is controlled on the joy-stick. When in transport mode, the booms are cradled just outside the sprayer platform - giving you a wide cab to rear walkway. And, it still folds to a highway-legal 12-feet.
  • Available automatic boom height adjustment reads ground or canopy level and raises or lowers the boom height "on-the-fly" automatically. You spray from the height you set giving you the best spray coverage in the industry.
  • Available automatic boom section shut-off uses your gps and field maps to determine when to shut boom sections off to avoid spraying near waterways and other non-spray zones.
  • It's the little things that seperate Hagie Sprayers from the pack - like our heads-up boom section light-bar which provides you with a quick reminder of what sections are on/off. Standard on the STS series.
