STS Sprayers

STS Engine

We started with the highest horsepower engine in its class - a 365 hp Cummins QSB turbo diesel. Engineered specifically for rugged, unforgiving off-road and agricultural conditions, it features full-authority electronics matched specifically to the STS16 sprayer. But horsepower is only half the story. With the highest horsepower-to-weight ratio in the industry, the STS feels like it's floating through the field - even in conditions that bog-down heavier competitors.
  • Positioning the solution tank between the engine and booms enables the STS line to maintain even weight distribution from full to empty, unlike most "back-boomer" machines.
  • A 150-gallon fuel tank and the highest horsepower-to-weight ratio in the field means you don't need to stop for frequent fuel-ups.
  • With Cummins' 500-hour extended service intervals, routine maintenance may not seem so routine. But a full-access engine cover and rear walk-up steps make engine access for "routine" maintenance easy.
  • A Filter-Minder, located for easy viewing as you mount and dismount the machine, informs you when engine air filter changes are needed.
  • Helping protect the engine, we have a three phase induction process with a cyclone precleaner running into a dual element air filter.
